was in The Big Easy
some weeks back, doing a bit of photography and a bit of work. I must say,
the Louisiana experience was very interesting. There was a very distinctive
feel to the place despite its stereotypical downtown business district. The French
Quarter was a very new experience with its art scene, the French Market,
the voodoo and all. By day, Bourbon St. seemed exactly like Philly's South
St. But by night, it too turned out to be another one-of-a-kind
world famous New Orleans street cars ... nice bright red, packed will the
daily load of local commuters, meandering through the old downtown streets.
Again classic Big Easy.
then there is the food. Creole and Cajun. The Gumbo, the Jambalaya, the
bisques ... yummy!

a different note ... I really was in New Orleans to present my technical
work (sigh), "A Link Adaptation Algorithm for IEEE 802.16". Here's
And why am I bringing this up now and here?? Hits of course! I have to link
to it some where, don't I? So here's more ... TCP/IP, Rate Adaptation,
Adaptive Modulation and Coding ... :)
